Waterproofing chicken coop after chickens already moved in

We did one full coat... We r thinking of buying the same paint again, repainting and then adding the sealant... We were trying to save money because between everything, the coop came to about $700 to build, give or take. I guess we should have put one more coat

Two coats of sealant is best always back to back when dry! Follow can instructions for application.

What about adding a rain gutter - saved our coop - my husband hooked up a gutter on the front and it fills a water barrel that feeds water to their water cups....love it and it saved having soaked chickens!!!

Yep, totally agree doing the same saves on water costs to feed free water and diverts water away from house.

I don't have a lot of humidity to deal with here, but I've had good luck with good old exterior house paint. That's what it's made for, protecting wood. I love lots of color too, so it's fun to experiment.
