Thanks, we got a half dozen nipples from a friend who has stopped keeping chickens, but before I started drilling holes in my bucket(s), I figured I would figure out how many buckets I could make up! I think three buckets will be my magic number, and then I have one bucket to give to a friend.

Thanx everyone! Very informative. I have limited space for my chickie-poos and need to find a way to get more water available and up off the ground/concrete brick.

I too want to increase the amount of space they have to roam in, without allowing full free range. $$ is extremely limited so I have to work with whatever I can get free and/or repurpose.

I think I may end up going with Neil (?) for the nipples if he is so wonderfully cheap. I'll go look at what he has. Still will have to save my pennies!

Yes, there really are people who save pennies rather than dollars!

My girls are grateful and use my feeders just the same. Hope you can get the nipples. It's probably one of the best investments you will make for your chickies.
