This country barely produces anything anymore except food, and yet - we allow the government to come in and tell the hand that feeds us that they are no longer able to grow things, their animals must stop farting and burping, and they should feel "dirty" for sending their cows to the feedlot because it is morally worng?

I'm tired of it. I'm tired of being regulated for pollution when I look around and see nothing but a pristine landscape. But I have to pay fees for the pollution that comes out of Denver, it is only fair they tell me.

Bullocks with what is FAIR. I'm fed up.

And now the EPA wants to regulate the water under the guise of Pollution Prevention. It makes me want to throw up because it is all about MONEY.

MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY.

Recently I was told in a metting that I "Work for the Governor" and I tell you I was so ticked off. I DO NOT WORK FOR THE GOVERNOR. I work for the PEOPLE of the Great State of Colorado. The arrogance that comes out of the office...is astounding.

But why are we surprised? We've been lulled into a deep sleep with plasma TV's, DVD players in our cars, and credit cards.

Past administrations have told us to SPEND SPEND SPEND and present administrations have told us to "Leave it to the government".

We have but one chance to course correct - and people - this is it. Let them take your water and see how far you get, how "free" you are.

And you can pretend it won't affect you because of your well, but you are fooling yourself.

Wow, thats kinda harsh. One could summize that this probably happens in every state in the Union.

I'm sure it does. I've lived and or spent extensive time in most of the lower 48 states and the south is much more racist's than other parts of the country. I'm not trying to flame. Just stating a fact. I lived in Tx for 7 years. The people there were pretty good people and I was always amazed at how much friendlier they were than people in the Northeast. My grandparents lived in Alexandria La. We had to leave the swimming pool because a black person got in it. Every other white person got out too. That was 40 years ago. The south has come a long way since then but there's still a lot of racism down there. I haven't lived in Tx since 93, but when I went down there to see my mother last year I heard the N word more than once. I've lived in Colo since 95 and have yet to hear it except on radio coverage during the Obama campaign.

As far as your water bill. Sounds like the EPA is just trying to get better control over what people dump in the water. As long as they don't mess with our wells we'll be ok. Colorado is desert country. All the building they do here is just plain stupid. It's like having green lawns in Nevada or Arizona.

Can't say that I was amazed to hear about this.
Disgusted, yes, but not surprised.
Very scary.

WOW - you have a lot of guts to continue this racism stuff after being warned...your "facts" are lacking, perhaps you should bow out of this thread, you seem to be fixated with race, while the rest of us are concerned with the water rights.

Racism and flaming are not tolerated.

This is why we do not encourage political based threads.
Someone always has to ruin it for everyone else.
