So I just purchased 2 4-5 week old chicks. I’m fairly new to the chicken world. My very first flock are Dominique’s and they are basically fully grown and outside already (14 weeks old).
These 2 chicks came from a small local breeder. One is a sizzle and one she wasn’t sure what it was. They are about the same size. The first day I brought them home I only had grower/finisher feed so they are that for about 24 hours. Then I went out and got chick feed and they’ve been eating that for 12 hours. One of them (possibly both but I think only 1) has super watery poops. Like I picked her up and she pooped on my leg and it looked like water with a tiny bit of brown speckes in it. She seems to be eating/drinking/acting fine. Could it be from the food change? I have no idea what brand of food the other lady was giving to them. When I purchased them they were still being kept inside in a brooder.
I tried to slowly introduce them to my older flock for like an hour but I feel like they are just too small. Now I’m worried if they are sick that my ladies have been exposed
