Watery, white discharge in eye

:welcome

have you tried rinsing the eye with a warm saline rinse https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/323842

There is also Terramycin eye ointment that will treat an infection. He may have injured his eye while foraging hard to say but try and clean it out with the saline rinse then post back with pictures.
Sorry for the late reply. We tried rinsing it but I think we got it too late or it didn't work. His eye ended up being gone. I've still been rinsing it though.

Hi I have a duck with two eyeballs that look like this picture of yours, somebody gave it to me because he couldn't take care of it and give it special attention, I haven't been able to find pictures like this anywhere, one eye is so bad it can't even close, I am wondering if it's an injury or some kind of worm or puss.... did your duck just lose its eyeball or permanently start leaving it closed? I almost want to pull it out with tweezers because she can't even close her eyes on one side. But of course I won't do that.

What have you tried to help? Putting some Terramycin eye ointment may help but sure worth trying since it might cause her lid to soften enough for her to close her eye.
I have a 4. Yr old Runner that has gone blind in one of her eyes have no idea why no wounds at all but I am using the Terramycin and she has been able to open her eye lid better.
Make sure you keep food and water in the same area so your duck can find it.
So sweet of you to take this duck in.

That does look like pus. If it were my duck, I would try removing it with tweezers.
