I've got one rooster whose wattle stands straight up,and another rooster whose wattle always hangs down and is in his eyes. Does this mean anything? Is one normal and not the other??

Thanks

Mine only stand up with ALOT of hairspray

My bad, I stand corrected - their COMB! Minus the hairspray, why would one stick straight up, and the other flop down over his eyes??

depending on genetics, some breeds, Leghorns pop to mind, but could be wrong, the comb does lie down on the hens I think.

Nothing to worry about unless the comb turns pale or black (or a color than it normally is).

hahahah, that is EXACTLY what I mean!! What's up with that?? And I know genetics was mentioned but these are father and son....anyway, just curious why that was. Your pictures are beautiful!!!!!!!

You can get defects on any bird. Stuff like this is genetic, and won't affect your bird, unless you want to show them. Some birds come with various combs, so you can get a pea style comb from a predominately straight combed rooster, or vice versa. These are just genetic through backs. If it really bothers you, dub him. Good luck.
