My bourbon red played her eggs on a top shelf in my chicken coop, about 4' high. They should hatch in a week. I'm worried that the chicks will fall before we can remove them.

They bounce really well. I have a few hens that nest high up on things. The babies jump out and bounce then run to their mom. The peahen nests is 6 ft high and she has no trouble either.
