Ways to restore balance in a chickens GI tract?

First take that bag and dump it where they can't find it.

Did any of them not get the medicated feed? I know it is unlikely but with all your broodies and chicks, one can hope. If some did not get it, find a way to feed some of their poop to the others. Animals eating each others poop is a way to share probiotics. Some baby animals eat their mother's poop to get the right bugs in their guts.

Do not get other strange chickens' poop and feed it to them. That is a good way to spread parasites. But since yours free range, they were sharing poop anyway. It won't hurt them.

Ridge, there wasn't any of the medicated crumble left. Not a crumble. The irony? I left 250# of appropriate, non-medicated feed closer (more convenient) for them to use.

And everybody got some - the brahmas, the babies, everybody.

Don't you love it. We can calmly discuss feeding a chicken another chicken's poop to correct a problem and it is normal. Is there something wrong with us?

I was just going to volunteer to send her some! Then you nixed that plan. Rats!

Gritty, I like plain yougurt, once a day until the carton runs out. It works quite well with people, too.

A friend of mine on facebook, also a BYCer, posted on FB about needing to rotate her mealworm trays or clean them out, etc.

To my shock, I didn't go ewwwww. I completely understood her post.
