hi grouup,i am about to worm my peacocks,which have been in a pen,off ground.
lost the directions for this product!!
need a amount/ratio per gallon!
i have 3 birds,so need a ratio to go along with this ???

gaza, you do realize don't you that Wazine 17 only treats for roundworms.

"For best results, remove water in the evening (except during hot weather). Then, early the next morning, begin water medicated with Wazine-17. Provide medicated water only, distributed in waterers sufficient in number so that all birds or animals have access to water. The medicated water should be consumed in 1 day or less. Worming every 30 days is necessary to break the large roundworm life cycle.

TURKEYS - Under 12 weeks of age: for each 100 birds, use 2 fluid ounces (60 ml) of Wazine-17 in 2 U.S. gallons (7.6 liters) of drinking water.

Over 12 weeks of age: for each 100 birds, use 4 fluid ounces (120 ml) of Wazine-17 in 4 U.S. gallons (15 liters) of drinking water.

Worm turkeys at 4-6 weeks of age and thereafter at 30 days, or as needed.

CHICKENS - 4 to 6 weeks of age: for each 100 birds, use 1 fluid ounce (30 ml) of Wazine-17 in 1 U.S. gallon (3.8 liters) of drinking water.

Over 6 weeks of age: for each 100 birds, use 2 fluid ounces (60 ml) of Wazine-17 in 2 U.S. gallons (7.6 liters) of drinking water.

Treat broilers at 4 weeks of age and thereafter at 30 days, or as needed. Treat replacement pullets at 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age."

1. Wazine17 Use this first; it only kills roundworms - two ounces in two gallons of water for one day - dump eggs for two weeks
Note: After having used Wazine ONE time, you never need to use it again, i.e., the next time you worm, use only Valbazen. If you take the bother to use Wazine 17 one time before you ever use Valbazen for the first time, there won't be so many roundworms and the myriad of other kinds of worms all at once to overload the chickens' systems so much that it could possibly kill your chickens. Roundworms are the most common worm in chickens, and once they are expelled by the wazine, it'll leave room for other types of worms including roundworm larva to be expelled with no toxicity.

...Ten days later:
2. Valbazen This kills roundworms and all the other kinds of worms -one half cc/ml for standard size chickens, one quarter cc/ml for smaller chickens including silkies. You can use an oral syringe to squirt it down their throats individually or you can inject it into a small piece of bread and give each chicken a piece of bread....they gobble it up. - dump the eggs for two weeks

3. ...after a couple of days of using each of both wormers....give your chickens plain yogurt or buttermilk(probiotics), canned beef cat food (extra protein) with scrambled eggs all mixed in their feed and give it to them to build up their immune systems, do this about 3 days in a row. Then you'll have healthy, happy chickens lol.
The next time you worm,say in about 6 months or whenever you see fit...you can use the Valbazen first, no need to use the Wazine 17 unless you want to. Please PM anytime and I'll be happy to help you with worming. Jim (dawg53)

Making buttermilk (from joebryant):
Mine love it, and its lactic acid and bacteria culture is super healthy for them and YOU.
I make it a gallon at a time:
Buy a quart of buttermilk, pour it into a large container with a gallon of milk. Let the five quarts sit at room temperature for 24 hours, stirring occasionally, and you'll have five quarts. Save a quart to use with another gallon of milk later.
BTW, buttermilk will keep for a very long time in the refrigerator.
Store in a glass container(s).

I wormed all my chickens, 9 bbs Orpingtons, 6 silkies, and 11 five-week-old bbs Orpington chicks.
It went fast and easy because I had already filled 9 syringes with 1/2 mg and 17 with 1/4 mg of Valbazen. That was a thousand times better than having to fill ONE each time while I chased/caught/held the chickens/chicks. I did the roosters first and put them out of the run so that they wouldn't/couldn't help save the hens. Then I did the hens and put them out of the run one at a time. It went really fast. ETA My wife held the syringes and shot the Valbazen down their throats. Doing all 26 chickens took about a half hour.

JUST PRETEND YOU WANT TO BUY THE 1 MG ORAL SYRINGE; THEY WILL GIVE THEM TO YOU OR SELL THEM DIRT CHEAP. GO TO ENOUGH PHARMACIES UNTIL YOU HAVE AS MANY SYRINGES AS WHAT YOU HAVE CHICKENS, ONE PER CHICKEN.
I went to Walmart today and the pharmacist GAVE me 15 5 mg oral syringes. I had asked for 1 mg.
Then I went to a CVS pharmacy and the pharmacist gave me 20 1 mg. oral syringes.
I already had 20 that another pharmacy sold me for 10 cents each, so now I have 40 of the 1 mg.

Use safguard goat dewormer at 3cc per gallon for several days, changing daily. Ivermectin is also used with Peafowl. Often the wormers are alternated, using one then the other. Wazine is not a complete dewormer for Peafowl.

If you can get your hands on some pumpkins this time of year they are a great all natural dewormer for all birds. I raise pumpkins every year just for this reason. The birds love them and I don't have to worry about not being able to eat any of the eggs from the chickens. I also have quail, pheasant and peafowl. The pumpkin covers all types of worms also, not just roundworms. Hope this helps.
