Has anyone tried a scarecrow, they work for garden theifs. Wonder if it would work for hawks?

Scarecrows not effective. Most problematic hawks, will land in tree next to you (example provided a couple hours ago with juvenile Coopers hawk). If people shot at hawks on regular basis, then scarecrows would like be more effective but that is not our present reality.
