I got these at TSC in the mixed bantam bin. This pic was taken when I first got them. I was told they were "no more than 8 days old".

The second 2 pics were taken last night 5/12. That would make them between 5 & 6 weeks old.

They are still very small. Does anyone know what breed and sex and their temperment? I'm pretty sure I have a pair, but this is my first experience with babies so I want to be sure. I wasn't going to keep any roos, but my mind is quickly changing!

Wow! Those are beautiful. I thought OEGB were big birds, but then again, I'm fairly new to chickens. My two are still very small and rather shy. I've given up trying to catch them. They run and hide when I try.

Then they may be OEGB. They ARE very small. Thank you for the compliment georgialee. I've just love them.

Are they good layers? Good moms? What can you tell me? I'll have to read up on OEGBs.

Maybe not OEGB. Here are mine as chicks.

Here is the chick from the website sparkles linked to.

Mine's bellies were barely yellow and they are dark legged instead of yellow/orange.

Looks like a self blue bantam, but not sure on the breed. Do you know what hatchery they got them from?
