It is actually possible that one could be an EE- she ordered 3 , and has 2 that look exactly like the 2 I got.








But, being they messed up my order big time, I'd be more inclined to think they shorted her 1 EE ( They sent me 2 buff orps in place of the other 2 easter eggers I ordered) Meyer does indeed have Golden Campines. And they had some available as a substitute to the marans and SLW's I had ordered but they didn't have at the last minute.
This is supposed to be brown egg layers, but it wouldn't surprise me if they messed up and sent her a white egg layer. I am not sure her back is mottled enough to be a campine? But then again, hatchery quality is not always high quality...

I think y'all could be right about the buttercp. I am trying to get my daughter to send a picture of the comb- I don't know if it too young yet to tell what kind of comb it has but LOL.. I'm not all that knowlegable, which is why I am asking here.

I sure hope the first one isn't a marans. I ordered marans, and the hatchery called me the day the chicks were supposed to ship to tell me they didnt have any. ( My order was supposed to ship the same day as my daughters). If the first one IS a marans, I am going to steal it from her - I orderd 2 months before she did , so it's MINE LOL
 
I have a picture of the comb- not the best picture, but I think you might be right in guessing buttercup.



It's got that double row comb, or so it seems.

Now we just need to figure out chick #1
