oh dear just realized you feed layer pellets, with a drake/drakes in flock, you need to switch to an all-flock feed (i use nutrena all flock pellets) or a duck feed pellets and get the oyster shells for calcium on the side in a separate dish for the hens . they will take as much as their body needs. There's crushed oyster shell and flaked oyster shell my hen ducks prefer flaked .Hello and welcome to BYC!Glad you joined.

I will do so. I am not sure this is the issue, however. One of my females, the oldest (I have three generations, she is from the second, the drake who is sick is the first,) is beginning to show similar symptoms (stumbling, slow gait.) I am feeding them more peas, hopefully that will help. We have had a lot of wet weather lately, which may have something to do with this, and we are expecting a stretch of drier weather for the next couple of weeks.oh dear just realized you feed layer pellets, with a drake/drakes in flock, you need to switch to an all-flock feed (i use nutrena all flock pellets) or a duck feed pellets and get the oyster shells for calcium on the side in a separate dish for the hens . they will take as much as their body needs.
