We are finally finished with our new coop ! ! ! !

YOUR ELECTRIC FENCE IS AWAY FROM THE BIRDS... I HOPE/ THINK.
I CAN'T TELL FROM YOUR PICS BUT HAVE READ THAT THE ELECTRIC FENCE HAS BEEN TOO CLOSE TO THE HENS AND THEY'VE GOTTEN HIT. NOT A GOOD THING. ESPECIALLY SINCE YOUR LADIES LOOK YOUNG. JUST A CONCERN AND I'M SURE YOU'VE ALREADY TAKEN CARE OF THAT. I JUST WORRY.

WE'RE CURRENTLY 'REMODELING' AND ADDING ON TO OURS. DH DOESN'T KNOW IT YET BUT I'M GOING TO BE ADDING ON TO THE RUN AS WELL.... BIGGER IS ALWAYS BETTER AND YOURS IS GREAT!

What a beautiful coop and run! I like the pull out trays. Oh well, I did the same thing when I bought my macaws cage...can't move it out the door to hose it off unless I completely disassemble it. Live and learn! LOL A wheelbarrow will take care of your problem

Thanks for your concern about the electric fence. The electric fence wire is on the outside on insulators well away from the chickens and there is a 2 foot high 1 inch mesh wire on the inside to keep them from poking their heads through the fence.

( By the way, do you know you're yelling at me?)

WOW!! My chickens are jealous! Do you have an idea what the cost ended up being?

Somewhere around $ 3,500.00, but the building is designed to be a nice storage building if I ever quit raising chickens.

i like the wire under the roosts

what made you do that instead of dropping boards? im trying to decide wether to use the wire under the roosts or build a dropping board

There are dropping boards under the roost. The wire is to keep the chicks off the boards and the poop
