We ARE MOVING.....ALABAMA.. UPDATE pg.14

Well, you've been fortunate. I had a lovely pet dog get bitten by a water moccasin and killed practically right in front of me.

We had to "relocate" multiple water moccasins within yards of the house we have south of the M-D line. I really don't care much for going out of my house and having one coiled up in front of my front stoop...

I dont really think it has to do with me being lucky. Snake bites dont happen near as often as the movies make out. I spent 13 years as the main medical first responder for this community that is full of snakes an I have never had to respond to a snake bite case.

I just asked my 84 year old grandmother an she has never known anyone that has been snake bit. Okefenokee Joe, The guy that lives an works in the Okefenokee swamp studying snakes claimed to only have been bitten once an that was by a snake in a bag. It does happen but lightning strikes seem more common.

Hi! I grew up where they have a *Rattlesnake Round-Up Festival* yearly --- because one youngster, one time --- got bit by a rattlesnake.

Jeezzz I hate waiting, we will probably find out if they are offering the job to DH this week.

I think the pay will be suitable to that area, but I am not sure what I will do.......??? And it looks like property values are not outrages and fairly affordable.

Big plus for me is there is a Lowes and a Costco with 15miles......here I have to drive 280 miles just to shop!

It is official....

DH got the job in Prattville, Al..............now to find a home....and sell a house!
