I know when the city see's all the responses from us and your community you'll be able to have your goats again.

I'd like to throw dog poop and goat poop on your neighbors porch and ask him which one he'd like to step in more

I just emailed the following to [email protected]

Dear Craigslist,
I do not know either of the two Oklahoma parties involved. I read about all this at the "backyardchickens.com" website. I read that forum daily because I keep two chickens in a backyard coop at my home in New York and enjoy the practical and interesting information that's shared on that website.

As background to the craigslist violation, please first read the newspaper article seen at The particular web page concerning the craiglist violation is:
The specific craiglist posting is: The Craigslist Terms Of Use, clearly state:
CRAIGSLIST TERMS OF USE

CONDUCT

You agree not to post, email, or otherwise make available Content: a) that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, or is harmful to minors in any way;

Additionally, you agree not to:

s) "stalk" or otherwise harass anyone;

19. VIOLATION OF TERMS AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES

d. If you post Content in violation of the TOU [Terms of Use], other than as described above, you agree to pay craigslist one hundred dollars ($100) for each Item of Content posted.

I respectfully request that the person who posted the untruthful(*1), harassing(*2), deceitful(*3), and offensive(*4) statement, "If you want to be such a good influence on your kids, OBEY THE LAW! The law states you cannot have the animals, so you cannot have the animals. Stop trying to play the victim." should be reprimanded by craigslist staff to the fullest extent allowable by law and by the craigslist Terms Of Use.

Footnotes:
(*1)untruthful: The law clearly states that animals over 25 lbs are not allowed. None of chickens or pygmy goats are over 25 lbs. So it's not true that the law states that she "cannot have the animals."
(*2) harassing: Craigslist is not to be used for maligning people. Using craigslist's public forum to send harassing messages to one person, to wit, "Stop playing the victim" is overstepping the boundaries of proper intended use of craigslist.
(*3) deceitful: The posting admonishes her neighbor to "obey the law." Ironically, the neighbor did NOT break the law, as the animals' weight is well within the lawful parameters. However, the poster herself DID break the law by allowing her dog to be off leash on her neighbor's property.
(*4) offensive: Making a sarcastic reference to a woman's expressed desire to be a good influence on her children is crude, rude, and the tactic of a playground bully.

I am sending this email to you in the hopes that some small redress of grievances can be realized. I cannot abide injustice and will do what small thing I can to speak up and urge that justice be done.

Sincerely,
Carolyn *****
