We are trying to figure out what they are.

You're the user that's against any inbreeding/line breeding and you're also making that horned chicken, right? Just trying to remember where I saw your posts.

Where are you from? I know that some countries have a CornishX that looks different than the American version. I'm thinking that's where the misunderstanding is
A horned chicken?

Same feeling here.
What are you talking about? While Black Brahmas due have a tendency to show some white (I own them), I don't see the correlation between them and Cornish Crosses. Are you from the US? :) I have a feeling we're talking about different "Cornish Crosses" because the ones in the US are drastically different then any other mix.
The correlation is simple they’re both chickens descended from the red jungle fowl. All males of the species regardless of breed and amount of domestication and selective breeding have a tendency to develop the change in neck and back color patterns

the correlation is simple they’re both descendants of the red jungle fowl and males have a tendency to develop the change in neck and back color patterns after adulthood regardless of how much domestication and selective breeding performed. Though inbreeding is also a factor. I managed to produce pure black brahma roosters by hybridising them with brown brhamas 60% of the male offspring grew to be pure black brhamas with barely any differences between pure bred pure black brhamas. In fact they are even more active and healthier and larger than the pure bred ones. Even though they look pure bred.

Where's your evidence of this? 🤔

First image is from an old partners factory our Cornish are reared more properly, second image from one of our competitors. Last two are those of one of my farm/home reared Cornish roosters these two images are old now he’s got more brown patterns but it’s night right now perhaps I’ll upload additional images of my home reared Cornish roosters tomorrow.

I was referring to the Cornish X.

The Brahma thing isn't a very great comparison with what we were originally talking about.
Actually it is the two breeds are almost identical and were bred for the same propose. The only 3 differences are that brhamas have strawberry like combs and feathered feet. The last difference is price. Since brhamas are few they’re very expensive at the moment so they’re not what people want to have on their plate but rather in their yards.

The male in the last two photos is absolutely not a Cornish x. Additionally, the color you're seeing can be explained in several ways. One of the most common is that sun damage or corn causes brassiness. This is why people that show chickens don't usually allow them outdoors in full sun until show season is over and limit the intake of corn whenever possible. The other is genetic. Males often show leakage in male-specific, sexually dimorphic feathering.

Brahmashave pea combs, bit strawberry combs. They also grow far slower than CornishX.

Their growth rate is actually the same, but brhamas are raised as fancy breeds not for meat, try donating a few chicks to a local chicken factory if they accept and raise it the same way as a common factory Cornish then go back to see how fat and large they’ve grown within a month.

Then how do you explain that I took 5 of the 6 day old chicks from the same factory and grew up like this after being raised like a fancy breed ? Yes this is from the same batch as the ones in the first factory image. I’ll upload some additional photos tomorrow to show you how the other ones have grown to be like. If you want to know for sure you can test it for yourself if you know anyone who operates or works in a chicken factory ask them for a few chicks then raise them like fancy breeds and you’ll get the same thing you saw in the last images I uploaded.
