We came up with an idea today

Our rooster spurs are about 1 1/2 long and he is hurting our hens. We thought we were going to cut them and chickened out!! Ha ha ha ha
So instead we cut a piece of soft plastic tubing and put it on his spur and on the other side we put duct tape. It is a test to see what will happen.

Hi Tink,
You can cut the tip off.It grows back just like your fingernail does.If you look close,you can see the blood line.Do not cut it past the bloodline.
