We didn't move to the country for this. Discouraged.

Giardia can seep down to lower level water from the surcafe. Basically water running through sand and soil filters and purifies the water, but when the earth is disturbed, and water that is on the surface has a chance to seep down into the well, it can contaminate the water. Underground aquifers are pure until outside sources break them open and drain contaminants into the supply. This would probably be what happened.

If its city water, you should not ahve an issue, there are chemical purifiers in the water that are supposed to clear out bacteria. Although there can be small traces that are below dangerous levels.

Also, if you are running on a septic, you might want to have yours inspected to make sure its still doing its job.

Yes. I can't believe how many people believe I'm making my well contamination up. I wish I was. A house of sick humans and a lot of sick animals isn't something I would make up to make myself feel important. I know people on this site haven't been hugely disbelieving but many elsewhere have. It happened once right after seismic testing. It sucked hugely!

So how do you think giardia got into your well ? How deep is your well ? Do you have a filter system on your well ? If not why not ?

We did see a Dr. Had to. No idea what was going on in the beginning. Then the animals got it so we took a stool sample to the vet for them. Terrible couple weeks for us.

Seismic testing is how I think it happened. It occured right after they did the testing. They can disrupt wells which is why they have to stay a certain distance away from them.

We didn't have filtering then but we do now.

I've had siesmic testing on my property, unless they have changed the process, it doesn't disturb anything.

Very small bore drilled, very small charge. You don't hear anything and you don't feel anything.

My well, my trees, my fences all remained undisturbed.

Oil company digging up 100 acrees?
Even if they drill a large bore dry hole, when they leave everything is cleaned up. had a dry hole drilled 1/4 mile down the road, no evidence of activity now 2 years later.

They did not drill or use charges. They laid cables and drove around in a giant machine vibrating the ground.

Giardia is not a bacteria; it is a parasite, and normal purification methods do not deal with it. A few years ago a number of Phoenix area wells had to be shut down and treated. Residents were advised to NOT drink the water or brush teeth or bathe in it.

Septic systems will also not deal with it. Septic is disposal, not purification.

I fail to understand how calling me a liar is helping me.

We shocked our well and put on filtration. A much better use of money than getting it tested in my opinion.

Yes, the fact that it came from our well and was caused by seismic testing is conjecture. It's educated conjecture. There have been reported cases of this exact same thing happening. The problem is most people don't report it unless it is very serious. I know we didn't. What is the point. It's over now. Again, of everything I've written I've no idea why everyone focuses on that aspect.

Can you tell me where I called you a lier ?
