We get to chick-sit this weekend!!!

YAY! Our neighbors are going out of town this weekend. We're going to take care of their 5 hens and 4 chicks.

Wonder if they'll mind if we take any eggs laid over the weekend as payment?? They're got 2 EEs, though only one is laying. I want to show my parents a green egg and blow their minds.

Of course, I just want to play with the little 3-week old chickies and that's enough for me.

We go out of town a lot. I have about 4 neighbors that LOVE to tend to my girls. The strangest thing is that when I leave the egg production drops in half. The day after I get back I have one or two new pullets laying.

When my neighbors tend to my hens I let them keep all the eggs they gather. It is only fair for them. Besides that, maybe they will get addicted to fresh eggs and start buying some of mine.
