We get to keep him!

Yes it is, it is so important to educate people about this subject. I just keep laughing everytime I think of someone running away from Champ! He is such a baby too. When he gets put outside and wants to come back in, he will let out the most pathetic cry I have ever heard. The first time I heard it, I didn't know who was making it, I thought it was my poodle! Although the other night we stoped by the gas station late at night. When my mom got out of the car, he saw a man out there and let out the most vicious sounding bark I ever heard

I could tell that he was protecting my mom, because when she was in the car, he didn't make a peep. That is a nice thing about having such a vicious looking dog, noone is gonna mess with you

We had a pitbull/sharpie mix when I was growing up, also the sweetest most docile dog ever, and people would always cross the street in a dash when I would walk her. Even when I told people she was friendly, they were still scared. Here is a picture of Angel.

Yay! I just want to give that guy a big hug! What a sweet dog!

We have 2 pit bulls, Gunnar and Eddy.

Both were bailed out of some bad situations and have turned out to be the sweetest guys! They love the cats and the chickens and think they are lap dogs. So silly!

I have to invite you to check out www.pitbulltalk.com for tons of info including training techniques and health issues specific to the breed. Everyone there is very nice and has had a lot of experience.

Good luck! I hope you love your pickle-terrier as much as we love ours!

I don't care what anyone says-- Pits can be the most WONDERFUL pets!

My In-Laws had a Pit named Sport when their son and ours were born (2 months apart)
That "Big mean dog" would lay by the babies and cry and whimper if the boys so much as started to fuss!
And Heaven help anyone that He thought didn't belong around those babies!

When the baby's diaper was messy-- he'd gently grab the waistband and carry the baby to the nearest grownup for a change!!!

Once-- when their son was 4, daddy swatted him on the butt--- and got his arm Grabbed!!!!! Not hurt, or even biut-- but Sport wouldn't let go until Momma came and told him to!

These poor unfortunate dogs get a bad rap-- and worse-- abused by ignorant people... Sport was changed forever when a !#!%**!! neighborhood "hood" stole him and though he could fight him against "trained" Pits--- he was missing 2 weeks until someone found him 1/2 dead, bloody, cold and starved in the basement of an abandoned house....

After that, he hated ANY unknown man--especially teens--- and would get scared to death of almost anything, and chew himself raw from stress.

Long ago it was Shepherds, then Dobermans, then Rottweilers...now Pits. There will always be a feared breed as long as there are ignorant, heartless people that intentionally raise/train them to be violent.

Enjoy and love that big bundle of fun!!!!!!!

nice looking dog! i was looking for american staffordshire terriers when we got our dogs. i ended up with my male APBT cause a friend had a stud in mind for her grump but couldnt afford the fee so we split the fee and i got pick of litter. then my wife found her dog in the paper. very nice animals, one is lost without the other.
