We put the marbles in the waterer after seeing it done here, it keeps their feet out of the water and is suppose to keep them from drowning?

Hummm the Marbles is a good idea and makes sense. I had two Sexlink roos and two Production reds and something got into them when we were on Vacation, we think it was a fisher cat. We moved now and my neighbors have only lost 2 hens and a chick from predators so i think i'll be safe. Plus we have the scary horses that make funny noises (i.e. two very loud miniature donkeys) that keep away some of the bigger predators.
They will be here in two weeks from today, at the latest!
