we got our first chickens!!!

Hello!
I am new hear, just wanted to start by saying thank you for all of the great info that you all have provided.
We got 3 that are 1 wk old (2 Silkies and a Golden seabright) then 2 that just hatched yesterday an Ameraucana and a Wyandotte silver laced. Hubby and I are building a coop with our 3 sons. It is just so cool!!!

If you haven't built your coop, do it FAST! I got caught with my hens pecking each other because the cage I built for the garage was too small before the coop was built.

Welcome. I am also new to this realm. My girls are about 15 days old and growing fast. This is the best site i have found for info. Be sure to check out the plans for coops. I am going to start building this weekend. There is alot of info here.
