GR's are FABULOUS dogs! I had one growing up and was devestated when he passed at the age of 9. Every ailment that GR's can have - ours seemed to have. Terrible fright of storms, epileptic seizures and hip issues. Poor old man... we loved that dog to pieces!!

We had one who passed probably 8 years ago now. We've had other dogs since, rescues of all sorts. I agree Goldens are awesome! I still can't write much about our Arlo without tearing up. He was a stray who wandered into the yard and stayed for 13 years. Loved that dog!

How do we pick just one? Not easy, but all the others are spoken for too so no choice there. I'm betting in another couple of years we'll contact her looking for another. We have two other dogs in the family and three's a good number for us!

I'm SO jeolous!!!!! I want a GR so bad!!!! They are my #1 favorite breed in the entire world.

Love that pup and give him a good home and he'll protect you with his life. My dog Blackie is 11 years old. I bet that she would fight to the death before she let anything hurt me.

My golden is a great dog. He's 9 now. When we lived in the city near a large lake I would take him on a walk almost daily so he could go for a swim in the doggy area of the lake. He is really good around my chickens too.

My Addie is a mix. Her Mother was the most beautiful GR and the owner was all excited to have her first litter of goldens to sell. Well, the first one came out black, and the poor mom was labeled a tramp. lol. And I wanted a golden but couldn't afford one at the time, so I got lucky. And as far as picking one out...she picked me, for sure. I went down there to bring home a male and she just kept running back over to me when I'd put her down to look at the boys. She was not letting me leave there without her. I'm so glad she didn't. We've been best friends for 10 years now.

We have ten right now! Eight puppies were born March 26. There are still 4 females that aren't sold, if anyone needs another!

They're all gorgeous! I love how they all look a little different!
Here is one of the only ones I have on the computer of Arlo. We didn't have a digital camera while we had him so I'd have to scan better ones. He's in our old pool with his brother Bear, a lab/shepherd mix.

This is Kobi our chocolate lab/??? mix. We think he's probably half Doberman but have no idea for sure. The people who got him as a puppy were told mom was a chocolate lab. You can see it when he blows his winter coat-it comes out brown, otherwise he's very much an all black dog, except for his increasingly white muzzle.

And then there's Stan. I think the picture says it all somehow:

Kobi and Stan are both about 11 years old with lots of "play" still in them. I hope they will enjoy having a youngster around!
