We got the chick out of the shell

Jay helped me get my little chick out. At 11:00 today it was obvious that this chick needed help. I got an email from Jay and he told me how to get it out. This poor liitle thing was literally folded in half in the shell. There was no blod, The membrane was in good shape. It took me about 25 mins. It is doing pretty good now.I wish that I new how to send pics. I had 18 eggs. Only two survived. The rest were dead in their shell or they were duds.

Glad to hear it worked. At least you have two to keep each other company. My first hatch I only got one. Had to buy day olds to keep him company....

How's it doing now?
We assisted some chicks escape from their shells, before hearing that was a really bad idea. I'm wondering what permanent damage can be done and what stunting we have created.

glad you got two chicks. I bet that was an experience delivering them
