don't think a fox could get in the coop They don't climb walls i don't think.

Fox can climb just about anything a coon can . I have coon hunted all my life and have treed many fox with my hounds . Like I've said many times the only nearly sure way to control predators is with a dog , my anatolian even watches for hawks and owls .

make fort chicken.

6 to 8 inches of ground wire so nothing can dig under

6 ft high so you don't hit your head

100% covered so nothing can fly down

also put wire around the bottom of your chicken house w/ground wire cover

use mesh wire or something small so no animals in unless wanted there.

I say kill then raccoons. Keep the tails and hang them on the side of your coop as a counter and warning against other unwelcome vermin.

Fort chicken is in the planing stages. We are still going to free range as thats what people pay me for. We also only lose birds at night. It's a 25x25 2 car building. Cement floor and brick walls. We have to clean it out and fix the windows. The last owners tossed anything and everything they didn't want in it. I can't wait till i can use it.

DOG! maybe 2 like me, get some dogs! my dogs are awsome they run of all sorts of monsters, i putum out when i hear noise at night and say "kill kill" and they know there is a monster out there! you can hear them crash through the woods this way and that till the monster hits the fence, yup dogs, or try hot wire fencing nothin likes geting shocked

My DH was finally able to shoot it. It's the frist time we've seen it. It was walking in the yard and he just happened to see it. I'm so happy. I hope this is the end of the crazyness. I talked to out neigbhors and they haven't lost any birds. I guess mine just taste better.
