In the Brooder
So I introduced myself here on Wednesday and on Thursday I ended up with baby chicks! On a whim I called tractor supply to see if they had gotten new a shipment because they had been out and he said the had but the were going fast.
so we have 2 black australorps- Marla Hooch and Black Betty
2 light brahmas- Dixie and Dorothy
2 Ameraucaunas- Esther and Atilla the Hen ( Tilly for short)
They are already starting to develop there own personalities! Hooch is not a ppl person, she is the littlest , I call her tiny but mighty. Dixie and Esther are cuddlers! The seem to like being held and will fall asleep in you hand. The others not so much yet.
I am in love. I couldn't hardly sleep the their first night home. I worried about them being to hot, to cold, about the heat lamp falling, all sorts of things, I woke up at the crack of dawn (WHICH I NEVER DO) to go check on them and they were just chilling!
They seem to be doing great so far and Im excited about this new journey!
