We have a serial killer and not enough cops to find him....

Nice Boyd. It wasnt necessary to share your SK with us here in Virginia

HA! An angel after my own heart.

Boyd I hate rules like that. I mean I understand being closer supposedly means more contact, but if you're totally broke because you can't find a good job in that specific area then you can't afford to drive 100 miles anyways. Be interesting if your folks sued Mom ala Grandparents Rights for keeping your kiddo (and you) all the way up there...

But back on topic... he's been going nuts in Flint for 10 weeks... attacking 15 people in that timeframe... 1.5 per week average... then hits the road going South (and East) and stops in Virginia and attacks one a day for three days... then on the road again and attacks one in one day in Ohio.

Assuming they know all the vics here... he was slow and steady in Flint, then escalated massively in Virginia, then slowed down again on the way back North (coming home???)

This is all freakin' nuts.

Pretty close. Why don't the people in 3rd world countries leave?

It really, really is like going into a warzone there. You don't have common courtesy there, and if you make eye contact, what you see can be scary. It's fine if you drive through, but actually going out there is....scary. It's not "gang" scary, but more like every single person is scary and willing to harm the other if given a chance. It's hell.

I can't remember the exact numbers, but the population of Flint is constantly dropping. Those who can get out , get out, and those who can't die there.

Like Boyd said, people who live in Flint were born there, or moved there when times were good and jobs could be had. Now a lot are stuck with too little money to leave, or they have too good of a job to give up. If you have lived in the city long enough, you know when you are safe and when to be wary. If you live anywhere long enough you don't want to leave, because that means starting all over again, being a stranger in a strange place.
A lot of people are leaving when they can, to where they can. Moving farther North isn't going to help them much when they realize businesses up North are mostly seasonal. Many are moving out of state where employment is more likely. Given the condition of the economy and employment all over the nation right now, I can't say moving away is going to get anyone a better life. Many have tried turning to Military service but even they are turning people away because they cannot handle putting so many people through training all at once. Delayed enlistment, at one point that I saw it, was as much as a year for some branches.

Adding a serial stabber/killer to the mix of Flint's other nasty people isn't going to change much in people's attitude. It is scary that he has been moving state to state and may have even more victims than we know of.

So now it's 16 in Michigan? Plus the 3 in VA and 1 in Ohio = 20?

Was there a new one, after Ohio, meaning he's back in Michigan again?

Or did someone else come forward about an attack that happened before he took his road trip?

They did say "The first 16 attacks happened in and around the working-class city of Flint." So I'm leaning more towards an "old one" just being found. I'm glad they found out, but I think I'd rather it'd been a new one, so everyone would have some clue as to where this lunatic is.

He's been under the radar for what... nearly a week now isn't it? He could be anywhere. Though... he's clever enough to have gotten away with attacking this many people, in three states... so maybe he's smart enough to know that coming South might be detrimental to his health... Don't bring a knife to a gun fight idea?? Well, a gal can hope... we've got enough problems without adding a psycho Yankee to the mix.

Edit... just reread that and it made NO sense at all... tried to fix it... may look again once I get coffee... meh
