That is awesome! I started with a DDR lined stud, but lost him to torsion before I got any pups out of him
Poor man. I imported my next stud from the Czech republic, he was DDR/Czech and was HUGE! I loved that dog, but was never able to get his papers. That was the end of my dog breeding for awhile. Between him, a female whose seller lied about her lines (she was 1/2 american lines, the papers he showed me when I bought her were not the papers he sent me), and another person who cheated me out of a couple thousand dollars, I was so disgusted with the dishonesty that seemed so rampant in the dog world that I lost all desire to breed. Maybe someday, but there are probably enough breeders anyway, I can just enjoy the awesome dogs they produce
I also used to train professionally before I moved. I went to Triple Crown Academy and they have a strong emphasis on working disciplines. I have always wanted to breed and train police dogs, a dream I thought was going to be realized. Oh well.
Heida is show lines (still German, of course) and my last dog (who was also my first quality dog after 2 BYB GSDs) was also show lines and did very well for herself. While my passion is still working lines and Schutzhund, I do enjoy dabbling with the show girls and cannot wait to show her when my life settles down a bit
Sorry to kinda hijack the thread, but I LOVE my shepherds
They are my kids and my passion! I always recommend a GSD whenever anyone asks what kind of dog they should get
