How wonderful for you.

I started here with an interest in chickens but my son isn't amenable to getting a coop, etc, but I think I might be able to talk him into 2 or 3 laying ducks which don't need as much house and will also patrol against insect and grubs. Sounds like a good plan to me.

I'll be checking in here now to determine what breed to get in the spring.

I've learned here that if they start turning dark, especially black, to be aware. Others on the site can help you with timelines, etc. I think if you can candle them, it would be easier to determine which are still good and then you can remove the bad ones.
