Just curious....What brand and cost is your chicken feed?

Taste will be more different the more foraging they do (greens and bug growing in your yard) ....when there is no forage to be had, like now....you can feed kitchen scraps, lots of different sources for greens if you're creative.

It's not that expensive. I shop at Costco for oatmeal and the field greens are about $6 for a box that lasts about a week. The snacks (worms) are probably the most expensive stuff. I only feed those in the winter to help keep the girls warm.

The BOSS and scratch are 50# bags, so I only buy them once/year. The veg and herbs are leftovers.
