We have our first egg!!!

So one of our Rhode Island Reds laid her first egg out of our flock of 9. I'm so excited!! Little surprised though that it's a white egg? I thought they laid brown eggs?? I think it has a good shell, but it's small which I'm aware is normal.

Congratulations!! A few of mine started laying last week and it's like Christmas!

Two more are in the nesting box right now!! Their faces aren't as red as the one RIR but looks like they are very close to laying too!!
