It just wnt grow. It is the same size as it was the first day we got it at about 3 days old a 3 weeks ago. (we have some a month old also) This little guy walks under some of the other ones legs. It is seriously the smallest thing. It is getting feathers and looking normal except for its size. just weird. I am sure it has rear end deformity. I have cleaned its little bottom off several times and just finally gave up. It seems to do fine except poop sticks to its behind. It eats and drinks fine. Holds its own even. It is pretty tough and even steals the food away from the bigger ones. I guess we will see how things go when we put them in there coop (which I hope is soon because 30 month old chickens in the house is driving me nuts.)

I've got several banty that seemed like they weren't growing and then around 4 weeks they shot up and looked like they grew q foot over night it's funny to watch them I've got a 7 week old banty that went from teeny mystery chick 2 weeks ago to a very handsome oegb roo who holds his own and chest bump my black blue andy roo who is the same age and twice his size

I dont have Bantys but I do have 30 Rhode Island Reds and man do I feel your pain. 30 little critters getting loose in the house is NOT fun.. lol.. Sure is an AWESOME experience..

I did have a similiar issue with one of my baby roosters. He just wasnt getting any weight and wasnt getting much taller and looked really pathetic next to the other 2 roosters. Had a pastey butt. Cleaned him off and he has been fine since. They say pastey butt happens because they arent staying warm enough. Try to keep an eye on where this particular banty is as far as the heat lamp location. Maybe she isnt getting enough warmth?

I'm with suzeqf. We have two banties and I kept thinking "these little guys/girls are going to be itty bitty bc they never grow" around 5 weeks or so they almost doubled in size. Still tiny but they definetly hold their own with my Rhode Island Reds--steal treats from them and run around like crazy. It's so cute to see something so small but almost completely feathered out and trying to haggle chicks that are so much bigger than them!! Enjoy!

Thanks for posting about this. I was about to ask the same question since I have one little silkie that is half the size of the biggest two. She's feathering out the same rate. The fourth one I have was the same tiny size last weekend, but she decided to grow this week and is halfway between the smallest and largest.

Might be just small......I have a full grown silkie that is Maybe 1/3 size of a normal silkie, if not smaller, she is a dwarf and cute as a button and very healthy
