It literally couldn't have been better than this.. ugh. I had it in my head that if I could just get this job, things would start looking up.
She said she wanted to keep my application on file because another position will probably open up in about two months. I don't know whether to wait or look for another one.

Never wait. Keep looking. Then if this one calls you it will be your choice as to whether you take it or not.

I would look for another one and then if they do call you to say that they have a position for you, you can decide then which one you want.

I feel pretty great today.

what I’m NOT doing is letting myself self-sabotage. Just because I did that, doesn’t mean ANYTHING about today or my future. I’m thinking this is me embracing “cannot” vs “can not”. Cannot is overwhelming, and like a funeral I don’t want to go to. Can not is a new beginning.

Fact ! A slip or backslide does not mean failure, and you have too much left to do to attend 'the funeral you don't want to go to'.
