We Quit Cigarettes

I can barely hear the songbirds because my ears are plugged along with my nose.:th
My songbirds are having a snood-pulling contest in the chicken yard (the chickens are in the greenhouse for the winter). Everyone's else is standing around yelling, "Hit him again, Ralphie!" I'm willing to bet you could hear *that*! :gig

I feel pretty great today. I’m actually trying to stay off BYC for a few days because it’s sort of a smoking trigger for me. @Kiki you’re doing incredibly and serving as an inspiration for me. I got super scared (I don’t know what the right word is really for what I was feeling) yesterday about becoming a non smoker. (Change makes me super uncomfortable...) so in sabotaged myself and had a half of a cigarette before I went to bed.

WHAT? I made it all that time, 30+ hours, and then I did that? When I could have just gone to bed. Ugh. I am 100% capable of beating down the cravings within me. It’s this mental game that’s rough.

what I’m NOT doing is letting myself self-sabotage. Just because I did that, doesn’t mean ANYTHING about today or my future. I’m thinking this is me embracing “cannot” vs “can not”. Cannot is overwhelming, and like a funeral I don’t want to go to. Can not is a new beginning.
You're doing great! Next time you get that urge, run it by your fans here before you decide what to do. 😋

It literally couldn't have been better than this.. ugh. I had it in my head that if I could just get this job, things would start looking up.
She said she wanted to keep my application on file because another position will probably open up in about two months. I don't know whether to wait or look for another one.
Keep looking. Like you're gonna wait around for them in case they call? If you do get something and they call, you can decide what to do then. Whoever gets you will be the lucky ones.

First hen went broody. A miner blue on her own eggs. Greys are laying I'm pulling kelso eggs and when the first grey goes broody I'll switch them. Letting another blue brood her own eggs. Also starting to save roundhead eggs my hen is laying and save them for another grey while the broodcock mates the other and she'll brood her own. I'm saving the first roundhead hens so she wont go broody so i can hatch more of hers. Her bloodline is more important for now than the other roundhead hens. I'll let the kelso hen brood her own eggs after I pull this first clutch. Then we'll see where were at. Supposed to get a brood pair of james sylvester hatch so I need to keep room.
