We Quit Cigarettes

Thank you @sourland !! I hope you have a wonderful day as well.

I seem to be able to breathe slightly better today than I could a few days ago. My sense of smell is not all the way back yet, but I am hoping it will return soon. Cravings yesterday and this morning greatly diminished.

@webbysmeme , don't cave in now!! I hope you didn't sneak a shot or three out of a bottle, I know how bad that temptation is. It is certainly important to get the booze out of your house ASAP, though. I think if you do more explaining, in smaller words, your husband will do his best by you. His best may not be what you want, but there WILL be improvement in the situation!

@Kiki , keep it up, you got this!!! Almost a month now, your progress is incredible.

To everyone else reducing or quitting, keep moving forward. Think of all the money you are saving by not smoking! The health benefits are enormous too. How is @jolenesdad doing, have not heard from him in a few days??
FYI the tastebuds on your tongue are slow to recover. Weeks to months to "really start to notice flavors". I learned this is like a bell curve on how long & how much one smoked over the years.

It's a right brained, left brained thing or so they claim.
I'm not sure we will see that hemespheric devide is thee major piece. One UK study I recall done in the 90's showed something very interesting. There is a bridge in our brain. It's at the top of the skull, slightly to the rear. The size of the bridge allows for more data and faster data between the hemispheres. It was discovered that gay men have a larger bridge, than heterosexual men & slightly smaller then women. So the bridge "in my belief" has a logical lead in the debate between communication skill sets for men and women. Metaphorically men have a 4 lane decided highway bridge. Gay men have a two more lanes (for HOV) & women have 4 lanes for HOV as well as the normal 4 lanes of regular traffic.
