We Quit Cigarettes

I haven't read much so forgive me if it's already been said...

99% of smoking addiction is not the actual nicotine, it's psychological. That's the toughest part of all. Battling your own brain.

Alan Carr wrote a book that a lot of people have found helpful. I think it's just called "Quitting smoking ". I was in the middle of reading it, when one morning I picked up a cigarette and said yuck. Never craved one and never missed them. Really weird in my opinion. Then, 4 years later, I was at my mother's house and subconsciously picked up a smoke. 5 years later....

Hang in there hon.
"Quitting smoking" How original. :th

And you have already won today in my book. To say you wanted to smoke before you went, but you didn't... That's amazing

I used to smoke before every appointment. My smoking got worse when I was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension... kind of stupid now that I think about it considering it affects your lungs... DUH! I was a stupid kid back then only 22. I still remember the day that they told me I had 6 months to live and the first thing that I did was sit in my car, have a panic attack, and smoke a cigarette 🙈 how dumb!
Your post gave me hypertension.
