The hidden sugars omg the hidden sugars are everywhere!

Maybe start by cooking a new thing a couple times a week. Seriously find a recipe that has some favorite thing in it like chicken but is different than anything you have made before.
Before you know it you will have a whole book of new favorite things that make you want to cook.

Yeah, I’m pretty bad at that usually. But this thread has been inspiring so I think I’ll finally get off my ass and work on it :lau

Though I’ve said that before so we’ll see how long it lasts...

But I want it to.

And yeah true!! Sugar is in everything!! I even heard fruit and potatoes have a lot of sugar? And I love both. :(

And that’s a good idea!! Thanks!! We actually have tons of cookbooks so maybe I’ll start using them haha my mom has sooo many but refuses to get rid of any and just got 5 more the other day. I have several of my own too but mine are more healthy ones I think. Maybe I will use mine haha I have some gluten free ones and healthy eating type ones As well as lots of regular books on food but I’ve never actually read any of them.

I think I need to start though.

I finally finished lunch :lau

I think I’m going to go for a walk

Fruit sugar and real sugar don't have the same effect on your body. I have read several studies on this. That's why there's people out there who eat all fruit and nothing else and they are very healthy

Hmm that’s true but I think diabetics still have to be careful with it? I read that somewhere I think. I am not diabetic but still. And people eat just fruit!? :th

Beware the gluten free things. Often the item used in p!ace of wheat flour is higher in carbs than wheat.

"Simple" are the ones you have to avoid. Like highly refined stuff that have had all the fiber and nutrients stripped out: white sugar, white flour, processed potatoes, etc. But "complex" carbs in their natural state are great, so: fresh fruit and vegs, whole grains, potatoes with the skins on, etc. Eat food the way it comes from nature. Cook it yourself, if it comes in a package don't eat it!
I don't have "carbs" My car is fuel injected. :smack

Fruit sugar IS real sugar.....just not all processed to death. Fruit is an in moderation thing for diabetics.
