We Quit Cigarettes

Did one of you ever hear about a succesful laser therapy?
Found this add (in Dutch) between the posts here and I wonder: is this bullshit or not?

The mind is an extremely powerful thing. If a person believes strongly enough that something will work, it is very possible for it to work. This is why methods that have no proven success can still work for some individuals. It is also why some methods that are proven to work may not work for individuals who do not believe those methods will work for them.

"Cold laser therapy

This is also called low level laser therapy, and is related to acupuncture. In this method, cold lasers are used instead of needles for acupuncture. Despite claims of success by some cold laser therapy providers, there’s no scientific evidence that shows this helps people stop smoking."

This is one of my big goals. I swear, I still work basically to pay for my smokes. I want to see if I can afford to quit working after I quit smoking!!

I feel ya! It’s going to be weird to sit around and NOT reach for a cigarette.
Start quitting with me! Kiki has been a humongous inspiration for me!!

Do IT!! Check their website! :pop

Tomorrow is Day 1 of my Chantix. I’m giving myself 12 days to actually cut out the cigarettes, but I hope the Chantix makes me do it sooner.
For anyone that hasn’t tried Chantix lately, I was shocked to find that my insurance paid 100% of it. I didn’t have to pay a dime. So why not try it?! Years ago, my dentist wrote me a script for Wellbutrin. I had to pay part of it, but I don’t think I was ready then. It didn’t work. I hope I’m more ready now!! 40 years of smoking (minus my one pregnancy year off) is going to be rough. But I’m motivated. :fl
The Chantix is going to work.
You just have to keep telling your mind you are going to win.

Cinnamon toothpicks, I need to find me some of those!!
Gum sticks to my fillings. I have found one awesome Camelbak water bottle that has a unique straw/spout on it that I really enjoy drinking from.... it helps with the smoking urge. Problem is, both toddlers like it just as much as I do. Sometimes we fight over it.

Day 3 is over, school load was light tonight and I am SOOO grateful to be able to get to bed at a decent hour tonight. Gotta be up pretty early in morning though.

I ate way too much this evening.
Wake up!
It's day FOUR!
Beat this day.:woot:woot:woot

The pharmacy called last week to let me know my prescription for the second month of Chantix was ready to be picked up.
Every morning I tell myself I need to go get it and every day I've been forgetting until late in the evening.
By typing this out I think I might actually remember to go get it.
Today is day 21 of the magical blue pills and day 15 of no smoking.

I'm winning.
