We Quit Cigarettes

What type of duck? My Pekin, white layers and muscovy aren't like that at all. They do get extremely close to me but never crawl in my lap.
Welsh Harlequin. It required a LOT of time. I was devoted to those things. Spent hours every day with them on my lap when they were little.

The puppy has his our life size chew toy.
:love

This baby is killing me.
He is so darn cute.
OH, if they grow up together, you won't ever have to worry about that baby boy. You do know a Rotts life span is not the best. Lots of health problems later in life. Always feed him a good quality food for bones and joints! Maybe yours will live the max. I hope so. They are great dogs!

My family likes duck eggs because the yolk is huge compared to the white of the egg. We also just had a friend that picked up some duck eggs and chicken eggs, but their son is allergic to chicken eggs. They looked it up if they could eat duck eggs and they had their first egg in 2 years because they're not the same.

My neighbor has a terrible allergy to chicken eggs, but she can eat our duck eggs.

Have you tried their meat?

I think quail will be our next meat bird. If I handled those 3 chickens by myself there's no doubt I could do quail.
Guineas are delicious.

I would not recommend guineas for you. If they are raised with chicks or other poultry, they get imprinted. The imprinting causes them to not be able to understand that there is a difference between them and the other poultry once they are adults. When their hormones kick in their instinctive behavior is foreign to that of other poultry and can cause great stress to the other poultry. They have their running and chasing track meets that can include attacks from behind as they pull or break off feathers from each other and the other poultry.

They need more individual space than other similarly sized poultry. They do best in large groups.

Are they good? I was looking at those too. But will they go in a coop at night? I heard that people use them as watch dogs.
Guineas can be trained to go into a coop at night. During laying season, hens will go broody on hidden nests and will not return to the coop on their own. Many guinea hens are taken from their hidden nests by predators at night.
