Are they trying to convince you to go back to work yet?

I am actually contacting some people, to work the night shift, swabbing throats for testing when they present at the Emergency Department. ( I ran from Katrina, cause DD was 2 1/2 and have felt guilty ever since. So I am offering to help. What can I say, that's just me.

Yes. Sometimes tough love is what's needed. Doesn't mean that you're mean, it just means that you know what has to be done.
I don't think that I can harden my heart too well... unless one of the roosters is giving a bit too much attention to Poppy or, especially, Marshmallow; then they'll find a boot up their vent and discover the sensation of true flying....
(Joking, I don't kick my roosters that hard. Just enough to shove them away. Though, there was a time when I kicked at Lefty and actually hit him... I thought that he'd move, but nope! Nailed him in the chest, and he rolled. Just, full 360, wing over wing. He was perfectly fine).

One day I'll rip a quail head right off with my bare hands.
One day.

So far everyone(my quail) had been behaving so they've been lucky.

I only keep animals i adore . But i sicka my rooster. His wife is sick and he doesnt like me paying attanention to her. Sure got me a good kick. Hurt, when workin so hard treating illness.

@Kiki, I think I love you, and am still considering the Santa Claus. Only problem is that due to most folks here using common sense no one came down our road last night to see the Christmas lights. I told the Princess that tonight we are taking a ride to see ALL the Christmas lights. She just shook her head at me.

Wait @sourland y'all put up Christmas lights at Easter?

That's why I knew you could truly quit after the first day. That was a really hard day for you but you toughed it out! The third day was hard too, but you bit the bullet and knew you never wanted another "first day." I knew if you made it through that third day, you'd be home free. You'd probably never again have cravings that would come so close to almost beating you. You ARE now a non-smoker. You're a winner! ❤ You're hard on yourself but in a good way.
