We Quit Cigarettes

It hard to stop smoking I'm still a smoker and quit so so so many times in the past I tried Chantix and the stuff made to quit smoking...I proaby try it again in near future

Today is a great day to start being better to your lungs. You can do this, and the folks here can provide support.

When I do go to town, I do my best to go early in the morning. I recently quit going to Walmart since the one on the east side of town is accusing all of their shoppers of being thieves and demanding to scan their receipts before allowing them to leave the store.
About 90% of the time I shop local to support small businesses. Yes it's a little more but its worth not going to big box stores.

While at the store on the 14th, there was a person coughing into their hand, then touching the produce!

Yeah ... last time I was at the store, I saw an old guy wiping and then pinching his nose with his bare hand and then handling produce. I didn't get any.

Don't waste your time trying.

Do it when you are good and ready and WANT to quit for good and are ready to be a winner.

I quit that addiction 4 yeas ago after decades. It was difficult but am very pleased now and don't plan to go back.

Here are two points that has greatly assisted me;...

1) Cleanse your heart of sin and pray often...as in several times a day.

2) We have a little control center (hereinafter CC) up there some where and it is potent...very controlling....NEVER tell it that you will NEVER have another cigarette....it goes bonkers when you say that and you will loose control.

Instead...say to your self....no I won't have one now but, this evening or tomorrow morning I will have a nice cigarette after dinner with a glass of wine..or after breakfast with coffee. Do not drink wine during your quitting period...that is a BIG ....no no.
Cut out all hot spices...chili..spaghetti...etc..those are no...nos).
Change all your here to for routines after meals...go for a walk...read a good book...(the Bible is indicated). Keep gum handy for a diversion.

When time arrives that little CC will remind you...FOR SURE. That's the time to then postpone it until another satisfying time. As time goes by make it a few days rather than a few hours when you will have a cigarette. Repeat, repeat, repeat...as indicated.

( Presently I am going to have a nice cigarette on the 5th anniversary of my abuse cessation program...LOL).

Some would say that this is playing games with yourself...so what...if it works do it...you are hurting no one...or yourself.

Stay quit and be blessed.

(Let me know if this helps you...I teach addictive cessation seminars and feedback is important)
If we could leave sin, praying, and God out of this, it would be a lot more helpful to me. The way this was written implies in a way that humans are weak and it is up to a higher power to help you quit. I much prefer to exercise an internal locus of control. It Isn't God's fault I picked up a bad habit of smoking, surely.

Before I touch my strating wheel I pump this into my hands and JPEG_20200322_104531_5001636676166773846.jpg
I spray me feet. I'm not nuts but I'm not bringing germy germs home to my quarantined mini. 😁

I still don't understand the gloved nutters walking around everywhere.

I truly do not understand how a glove is going to protect them.

God had nothing to do with me being able to quit.
