We thought we were getting an Australorp, but we don't think so!

Anybody have any idea what kind of chicken this is? We bought 8 chicks: 6 Buff Orpington and (what we thought were) 2 Australorps. We do not think this little gal is an Australorp. We think she is great and gorgeous, but would like to know what she is. Please help up identify her! These photos were taken last week and she has about doubled in size since then. In fact, they all have. Pretty soon they'll be teenagers, wanting to borrow the car, going on dates, staying out all night...I'll miss these days!

Yay! Thank you, everyone! We had guessed that she might be a black sex link, strictly because the woman selling the chicks had them as one of her selections, but we just didn't know. This hen is so friendly and curious. We were concerned, when she was younger, that she might be a rooster, because she was the slowest to develop and was pretty stand-offish. Now, she is curious, affectionate and friendly. She's the first one I've named - probably because I can't tell the Orpingtons apart yet!

You're welcome.

Definitely a Black Sex Link! The same thing happened to us recently. She might not be quite as prolific as an Australorp, but still a good layer. Ours has shown to be a bit of a "late bloomer" as well. Good luck with her, she's beautiful!
