Weak egg shell?

some of our chickens eggs look like the insides are soaking through the shell after they set for a while. Has anyone had this happen? Does it mean the shell is weak? Is it safe to eat?

I think that may just be the pigment. How do the shells feel when you crack them? What are you feeding them?

Some shells seem a bit more porous than others. I've always eaten eggs like this without issue. If you're worried, make sure to crack each egg into a cup and look for/smell for anything that's off or abnormal before you use.

Yes....are they thin?

Candling the egg can tell you whether the shell is porous.
I eat them too, shouldn't be a problem unless they are covered in poop.
