Wee bit of chlorine in the water

Anyone who lives within a municipality with a water system is giving their chickens water with chlorine. I haven't heard of any problems, but our chickens drink well water so no chlorine here. Other pet birds like canaries, parakeets, etc. kept in cages in cities are drinking chlorinated water.
Not to the ratio of 1/4 t. per 2 gallons.

Chlorine administered as a water purifier is at the rate of one 'drop' per gallon of 5% household bleach.. Pool chlorine is approaching industrial chlorine in strength... which will liquefy your skin in a blink of an eye.. or your vision. Worked in a dairy.. Do you, or allow your child to drink out of the pool..? Coffee's brewing.. No longer live in AZ, but I can feel the sun 'beating' on your head.. Glad to have that midget pounding the top of my head off my shoulders.. just clean it regular and rinse it well.. you may use some chlorine for that. Just let it air out, Chlorine evaporates rather quickly.. A 'little' dish soap does just fine too.. or better yet use white vinegar. Sometimes when I have no patience left, I just brush it out with a toilet bowl brush. Kept for this propose only and rinse with a nozzle on a hose.. fast. If you are all into organic ACV as some do add to the waterer, that will do the trick too.. I don't, chickens don't like it and is too much of a good thing if you ask me..

If you let it set out for a short period of time open, the chlorine will evaporate.. In my experience with citified water.. They must be draining the city pool.. All is well that ends in a well, unless it is you.

Water is 100% shaded under citrus tree. I scrub every Friday when I clean their yard and coop. Yes chlorine in the tap water for sure. Our dogs drink pool water. They have fresh and drink that to but if they are cruising by the pool they’ll take a drink. Aside from the third eye they grew they seem fine. :) I’ll probably hold off. Was just curious
