My pair of Tolouse geese inhale everything green they can find, and we've had so much rain this summer that my yard and house are overgrown. Can I harvest weeds and give them to the geese? The main culprits are as follows:

    Virginia creeper ivy
    Wild lettuce (Lactuca scariola)

What other weeds are goodies for geese?

well, i give my geese all my weeds from the garden, and my chicken yard is also a compost pile, so if they are in there, they get all kinds of things, and pick through to get what they like.

mine absolutely love dandilions, grass, lettuce, comfry, and clovers. they've eaten plenty of other odd weeds too though. i don't know about ivy or thistles. also though, how big are the weeds are you talking about? i give mine the small weeds i get from the gardens. the large weeds all go to the goats. i have put the geese in the goat pen, and they dont touch the large weeds that the goats love, so you will have to just test it out and see if yours like the big weeds or not.
