So we got a surprise special and with it, two turkeys. . .I unexpectedly fell in love. One of the turkeys is already showing domination/aggression?? Pushing out his (her?) wings and today he decided to start climbing onto the other one's back. The other one is sooo very sweet. . .so I'm assuming I have a male and female. . .should the supposed male already be acting in such a way? Or is it destined to be mean and cooked before the year is out? If the kids give me time I'll try and get some decent pics. . .

They will both be most likely broad breasted types in a hatchery special and both be destin for the oven before the year is out! don't get too attached.

Ok here is a better picture. The human baby does not want me to leave his side :p This is the more friendly one, I think the above is the other

Too bad you ended up with a BB Bronze, you could have had some nice pets.

I only have 1 standard Bronze poult with my chicks, and I witnessed him strut (I think) twice in one day! He fluffed up, put his wings out a little, and started walking around very proudly.

It was adorable, but now I have a lonely tom who needs a few girls! I have to start looking for a local breeder soon.

I thinks it's crazy how thin their necks are and how big they will get . . .especially since the ducks are so much bigger for the time being (and not so friendly, but they are going to a friend)

So if they'll be ready in Sept. How will they fare during July and August when the weather is 100+ and humid?

the upper picture stance isnt agrasive and a strut would be with head up and back raised high hhe would bring his wing tips two the ground kinda ruffled back and down the top photo looks like its streching or getting ready to take a crap i learnd my socalled broad breasted bronzes / nargansent cross are stander bronze so i partend the tomb i went back to the women and found out the first eight bronze i started with are stander bronze heritage turkeys i got 7 hens and one tom

Yea, I didn't get a picture of it strutting, it was doing exactly what you described. That was just a picture of one in my hand trying to peck the floor. I think they were hoping that the patterns on the floor were really food.
