Week old gender guesses...

I know it’s kinda early to tell yet but any guesses on one these two Mille Fluers? They are approx a week old I think.

No idea what gender... but the fuzzball peeps are so cute

All that can be said is neither are showing blatant cockerel signs at this point. ..but excepting early bloomers this is to be expected.

A week is much to young. 6-8 weeks is the youngest accurate determinations can be made. Younger than that it truly just guessing.

Way to young! Please post pictures of their combs when they are six weeks old.

Two weeks old now and the one that I thought might be a boy from week one now has a slightly bigger comb. Still a bit early but it was also the first one to start striking out.
Millie is the first one who isn’t looking like a boy. They both are Mille Fleur D’Uccle .

This is Muffy who might be a male?

The lighter chick isn't a Mille Fleur d'Uccle, but adorable nonetheless. And so far no definite signs as to gender.
Your other baby looks to be a cockerel - nice, pink comb ALREADY! d'Uccle boys generally show themselves early on.

It’s the only bantam other than silkies that was sent. They were marked orange on their heads showing they were Mille Fleur’s. Here’s another photo showing them together. The darker chick is slightly larger though it doesn’t look like it in these photos.

Hmmm....I've never seen a Mille Fleur d'Uccle chick that light. Or a lot of white on the first feathers coming in. But, that being said, perhaps there could be a sort of mutation within the gene pool? (I don't know anything about genetics ) Either way, it's super cute. Love the blonde chickies.
