Gave my 2 week olds some (washed) carrot peels yesterday and it was hilarious. One would grab a string and race around the brooder looking for a place to hide it, another would grab it from her and do the same thing...
Followed by a sand bath and it's a regular kids day at the beach...
INRE perches: When I built a bigger brooder this weekend, I added a small apple tree branch (~24 crooked inches long) held up by a couple of 2X2 supports just a few inches off the ground and they love it. It's another wrestling match to see who gets the top of the 2x2's, so more entertainment too!
