Week old Pekin Duckling not standing up?

I love Purina Flock Raiser. My ducks eat that now. It smells yummy, dosen't it? The vitamin pack has niacin in it, yes? If so, all they will need is the vitamins added to their water, and the Flock Raiser. Nothing else, but treats you want to give them.

Make sure you post pictures once the little one is up and running around.

Yes the vitamin supplement has Niacin in it. I started them on the flock raiser tonight. I have several packages of the supplement so I will use it for awhile. Thanks.
When it stops raining I will get them out and take some pics as I know everyone loves pics!

Horrible idea to leave them alone! Guess you learned your lesson. But I have had horrible experience with pekins. They are made for meat and are too large for heir tiny little legs. To help strengthen his/her legs you can add 2-3 cups of brewers or nutritional yeast to 10 pounds of chick starter. In my duckies case, she had a fractured leg and had to be put down. But you can also buy mixes to go in the water to give them extra supplements.

I agree about the "Green Acres" theme! Our last name is Greene and we recently started bring back an old family farm. So we thought it was a fitting name!
The duckling is walking and standing better everyday. I will try to get a pic soon. Thanks.

No, I mean that it is a bad idea to leave them alone in the water because they can drown. I was not meaning it in a mean way

Oh my goodness! I feel so stupid! I read your post totally wrong! I'm so sorry! I thought you mean you left all of them in a tub o water fir an hour and came back and one drowned. My bad sorry!

No problem. I understand now. They just get a few minutes at a time in water.
The little one seems to be walking better each day.
Thanks for all the input and advice to a Duck newbie!!
Time to get some housing built down at the pond.
